Vijay Singh has been at odds with The PGA Tour’s legal team for over 5 years and he has finally been able to move past all the drama with the lawsuit settled in November.
“I just thought it was a very unfair deal. That’s why I pursued it, and I’m glad it’s over,” said Singh whilst preparing for the Sony Open.
Vijay and the Tour were at odds after Singh revealed he used deer antler spray in a Sport’s Illustrated interview. The problem being the spray contained a substance which is against tour regulations. Vijay was initially suspended for this but this was later rescinded.
Vijay’s suit was built off what he called reckless administration and implementation of a anti-doping program. With the lawsuit complete and agreements signed Vijay is unable to disclose exact figures although did intimate he was happy with the result.
“I can get on and do my own stuff and not worry about anything anymore,” he said. “I think both sides are happy, although I might be just a little bit happier.”
