Tiger Woods has admitted at the Presidents Cup this week that he doesn’t know “what his golfing body is going to be like”. Being only restricted to 60 yard shots under instruction from his surgeon, Woods is unsure how his body is going to recover in an effort to play competitive golf again. Woods explained that the pain was gone but that he hasn’t hit a full shot yet, meaning that his capabilities in regards to playing is still unclear at this stage.
Woods stated that his main priority is to first of all ensure the pain has gone away following his fourth back operation, and that he is awaiting instruction under his surgeon’s orders. He has continued to train in the gym but has not been focusing on anything golf related. Woods’ last event was when he withdrew after the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic earlier this year.
If you want to reminisce on the times of Tiger, or forgotten how good he really is, how about checking out these highlights from the 2009 Presidents Cup! Unreal!
At least the 14-time Major Champion appears to have his priorities in check, that is getting his body healthy and pain-free before attempting to play again at the ultimate level, stating he is in “no rush”. A video of the interview with Tiger and both Presidents Cup teams can be found below.
