Stats Time! – Justin Thomas

If you haven’t heard by now Justin Thomas is the 2017 FedEx Cup champion, taking home a cheeky $10 million dollar payout for first place! Unreal!

So to re-cap on what has been a truly impressive season for Thomas, we thought we’d have a quick run through his numbers!

For the season of 2017 Thomas has managed a total of 12 Top 10 finishes with 5 wins including the PGA Championship! His official prize money totaled a whopping $9,921,560 for the season.

Check out Thomas’ final round highlights of the Tour Championship below.

Thomas went to college at the University of Alabama and was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He turned pro in 2013 where his best finish was a tie for 30th in the Travelers Championship. In 2014 he managed 1 Top 10 finish, earning just over $170,000 for that season. Since then he stamped his name onto the tour early with his first PGA Tour win coming in the 2016 season at the CIMB Classic.

Thomas has a career low round of 59 which he shot at the 2017 Sony Open in Hawaii for the first round. His scoring average is a crazy 69.359. In 2016 his highest spot on the FedEx Cup rankings was 12th but now the boy has outdone himself and proved to everyone he is one of the best players on the Tour!

His final result coming second in the Tour Championship to Xander Schauffele was of course the key to capturing first position on the FedExCup rank. So if you look at it this way, every shot Thomas hit in that final tournament was worth $37,174 each to total the $10 million prize!

Huge Congratulations to Justin and his team for the hard work, it definitely paid off!
