Justin Thomas took out the WGC Bridgestone Invitational with relative ease boasting a 4 shot buffer to second place. He did so with a number of changes to his equipment including new woods from Titleist’s latest range and irons which he put in the bag last season after only a 30 minute testing session.
“It was really a 30-minute process,” Thomas told PGATOUR.COM last year. “Ask anyone from Titleist and they’ll tell you it was a very easy transition. I hit some 5- and 8-irons on TrackMan and looked at the launch and flight — could I hit draws, fades, low, high. I’m not necessarily looking for one particular shot, I want to make sure they check every box. Once they were good to go, I just pulled my old set out of the bag and threw the new set in.”
I certainly would love to have the confidence of Thomas when it came to my equipment but then again maybe its not my irons’ fault I can’t hit it high and low on command? Anyway check out the new and obviously improved equipment which helped Thomas claim the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
