Joaquin Niemann Earns Tour Card After Just Eight Starts as Professional!

19-year-old Joaquin Niemann has accumulated 414 FedEx Cup points after just eight starts on the PGA Tour. Following a final round of 64 at the Greenbrier, Niemann finished T-5 and although he didn’t get the invite to next week’s Open Championship, his fourth top 10 finish for the eight events he has competed in has secured his spot on the tour. He sits well above the projected amount of points needed for the 125th player in the FedEx Cup standings following the completion of the Wyndham Championship. This means Niemann has earned his tour card at only 19-years of age!

Niemann had already gained special temporary membership following at T-6 at the Memorial (his third T-8 or better in 5 events), which earned him unlimited sponsor invites until the FedEx Cup playoffs begin. The future looks bright for golf as Niemann secures his spot at such a young age, joining the likes of Rahm and Spieth who also both bypassed the finals. Best of luck to Joaquin, we can’t wait to see him win his first title!
