Friday 13th, if you’re superstitious, you must dread the day. Unfortunately for a large percentage of golfers, we are superstitious, and playing on this day makes everything even more ominous. Take US Masters champ Patrick Reed for instance, he only ever carries 12 balls and only ever uses no. 3’s, see, we golfers are a superstitious bunch!
But on Friday 13th, some really weird stuff happened on Tour including a moment when Kelly Kraft hit a ball that nailed a bird mid-flight and he missed the cut by one shot! But one of the weirdest occurrences was James Hahn’s scorecard. In what is a very rare moment, James Hahn managed to cover the scoring spread in his first 9 holes, that is, he had an eagle, birdie, par, bogey, double-bogey and triple-bogey all on the front nine. Despite missing the cut, Hahn actually achieved something…shooting one of the weirdest front nine’s we will ever see!
Interesting Friday the 13th. Completed golf’s longest cycle on the PGA Tour in my first 8 holes. Eagle, birdie, par, bogey, double, triple. I’d like to thank all my sponsors for helping me achieve greatness. pic.twitter.com/qNIWlKw7Ir
