The TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course was opened for play in 1986 and was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. TPC Scottsdale is one of Arizona’s most popular and exciting golfing venues, hosting the rowdiest professional golfing event in the world, the Waste Management Open (Phoenix Open).
The course is sculpted from the Sonoran Desert and features stunning views of the McDowell Mountains that create a dramatic and overwhelming backdrop for golf to be played. The 16th on the Stadium Course is famous for its extravagant viewing areas during the Phoenix Open and is often referred to as the “Party hole” due to its loud and party-like atmosphere featured throughout the event. Unlike the previous TPC courses, the stadium course is wide and features greens that are relatively flat but provide subtle contouring that allow for low and exciting scoring. A truly fantastic course that must be played by all. As you can see below the course views are simply breathtaking.
