Bubba Watson has again shown he has a heart of gold, donating $200,000 of his winners cheque from The Travelers Championship to the tournament’s charity fund.
The primary beneficiary of this donation is the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp which offers children with physical and medical limitations the chance to experience a summer camp. Three campers Tyler Backus, Carly Demartino and Jeremy Brown — served as the Honorary Co-Chairs this year’s tournament to highlight the work the charity has done and the number of kids and families reached, over 20,000 kids have attended the camps.
Incredible gesture by our champion @BubbaWatson who is donating $200,000 to bring our charitable donation up to $2 million for 2018. The money will help support our primary beneficiary @HoleWallCamp. Thank you Bubba! pic.twitter.com/opheNGXY73

Watson’s donations pushes the charitable collection of the tournament over the 2 million dollar mark, Watson’s comments giving us a true insight into his mindset around this tournament and the direction it is going.
“It is such an honor to be a part of this tournament,” Watson said. “They’ve always made me feel like family. Every year they’re making improvements, making the tournament better, growing the charitable donations, doing more for the families, caddies, fans. I can’t say enough about how impressive this tournament is and how much they impact the community by giving back.”
Incredibly 100% of Net-Profit generated by The Travelers will be donated to around 130 local organisations and affect the lives of many more people. Since Travelers came on board as the name sponsor the tournament has generated an astounding 16 million dollars for local charities.
