During the first round of the RBC Canadian open Bubba Watson had a very close call. During his second shot on the par-4 5th hole, Bubba attempted to escape from the rough but hit a shank straight into the tree on his left, forcing a ricochet which sent the ball flying toward Bubba’s head. Thankfully, the ball just missed and Bubba was able to finish the hole, unfortunately for Bubba he settled for a bogey. Watson finished with a two-under 70, whilst Robert Garrigus took outright first by a shot over the field with an amazing nine-under 63.
